What’s in her or his bag?
What’s in her or his bag is a unique and very engaging silent auction that supports the mission of Go Red For Women by raising awareness and funds in support of the initiatives efforts to fight against heart disease, the number one health risk for women.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
We ask women and men in our communities to donate a brand new purse/bags and add contents that represent their personality, which is then auctioned off at the 2019 Go Red For Women Luncheon event on Friday, February 22, 2019.
Choose a bag (golf bag, gym bag, purse, beach bag, limitless ideas!) that reflects one’s personality
Fill the bag with items that define the donor’s personality
All items in the bag and contents will be displayed at the auction to encourage bidding, so the more personality the better!
Bag items have included in past auctions, trips, jewelry, books, wine, vacation homes, iPad, fitness, pets, wine, cooking, make-up, etc.
When deciding what to include in a bag package, we asked you to consider what makes you happy and healthy! Perhaps wearing your favorite designer clothing; engaging in activities like running, traveling, or visiting the theater; how do you relax and unwind (spa day or good book on the beach) and what other items reflect your character and unique personality? All of the above can be added to your purse!
If you choose to donate a bag, we ask that you send a bio and photo of yourself. We will showcase these items next to your handbag at the luncheon. You can get as creative or personal as you would like or you can keep the bio professional.
All bags will be auctioned off at the 15th Annual Richmond Go Red For Women Luncheon on February 22, 2019. The funds raised through our year-long campaign, including the auction at the luncheon event, will support critical research for cardiovascular disease and stroke, fund outreach, and education.
